GENERAL PURPOSE

Community Midwives provide one of the most important childbirth services in Ambulatory Services: supporting pregnant mothers and their families through the pregnancy process and the birth itself. This is a highly rewarding medical role, if you’re looking for your next Community Midwife job.

As a Community midwife, you’ll be an expert on both pregnancy and the birthing process itself. Most commonly, you’ll be working closely with pregnant women, providing support, advice and, guidance on options and services available. You’ll also be:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES:

1. Providing full antenatal care, including parenting classes, clinical examinations and screenings
2. Identifying high-risk pregnancies
3. Monitoring women and assisting them through the labour and birthing process
4. Teaching new parents how best to provide care for newborn babies
5. Liaising with other agencies, health and social care providers to ensure continuity of care.
6. Any other task assigned by the Line Manager.

Qualifications (Rural Field Focus): Diploma in CMW – 02 Years.

Experience: At least 1-3 Years position experience in a reputable organization.

Training/Courses: Hands-on training taken place in maternal clinics, hospital labor wards, and community health settings. Strong communication skills in local languages/dialects.

Language: The role requires fluency in Sindhi and Urdu, with a basic grasp of English for occasional communication.
