Sindh Integrated Emergency & Health Services (SIEHS-1122) paid tribute today to Naeem Masih, a dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) who passed away following a sudden cardiac arrest while in the line of duty.
Last night, Naeem had successfully transferred a patient to Liaquat National Hospital in Karachi. Tragically, while returning to his hometown of Hyderabad with his team, he collapsed and could not be revived.
The last rites were performed at 3:00 PM at Christian Colony, Railway Station, Hyderabad. Family members, colleagues, community representatives, and the SIEHS leadership gathered to honor a life defined by service. Floral wreaths were laid in his memory, and frontline teams observed a moment of silence to pay their final respects.
“Naeem was one of those quiet professionals who showed up, day after day, and served with heart,” said Brig. Tarique Quadir Lakhiar, CEO of SIEHS-1122. “He stood for care, courage, and compassion—values that define what it means to be a first responder. He embraced duty until his last breath, and we will always remember him with respect. We stand with his family in this time of grief.”
SIEHS-1122 acknowledged the indispensable role of emergency responders who work under intense pressure to serve the public, often placing others’ lives before their own. The organization reaffirmed its commitment to the well-being of its frontline teams and expressed solidarity with colleagues across the service as they mourn the loss of a teammate.
