Ready Before the Storm: SIEHS-1122 Leads Flood Preparedness in Sindh

When the monsoon rains arrive, families across Sindh know all too well the risks of flooding—roads turning into rivers, villages cut off, and the fear of not getting medical help in time. To stay ahead of these challenges, the Government of Sindh, under the close supervision of Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, has launched a large-scale flood preparedness drive across the province.

At the heart of this effort is Sindh Integrated Emergency & Health Services (SIEHS-1122). The organization has gone into full action mode, mobilizing its emergency response network so that no one feels helpless when the waters rise.

Emergency Help Where It’s Needed Most

Instead of waiting for disaster to strike, SIEHS-1122 has already deployed its resources to the districts most at risk. Ambulances, rescue vehicles, and teams of trained medical and rescue staff are positioned and ready to act. The idea is simple: when a call for help comes in, the response should be immediate.

The preparedness plan also includes:

This approach ensures that communities won’t be left waiting when every second counts.

Building Trust Through Community Awareness

Preparedness isn’t just about vehicles and equipment—it’s also about people knowing what to do and where to go in an emergency. That’s why SIEHS-1122 is running awareness campaigns in at-risk communities.

Teams are on the ground talking directly with residents, explaining safety measures, evacuation routes, and available services. These conversations help reduce fear and build confidence, reminding families that support is within reach.

Strong Leadership Behind the Effort

Brig. (R) Tarique Quadir Lakhiar, CEO of SIEHS-1122, captured the spirit of the effort when he said:

“Preparedness is about staying ahead. Guided by the Government of Sindh, our teams are ready and positioned to provide immediate assistance. This is about reassurance—families across Sindh can feel confident that help is near and support is certain.”

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah is personally monitoring the situation. By directing provincial authorities to remain on round-the-clock alert, he is sending a clear message: the safety of Sindh’s people comes first.

A Collective Shield Against the Floods

Floods may be unpredictable, but the response doesn’t have to be. The Government of Sindh and SIEHS-1122 are working hand in hand to create a safety net that combines quick response, medical readiness, and community support.

For the people of Sindh, this means more than just emergency vehicles on standby—it means knowing that when the rains pour and rivers swell, they will not be left alone. Help will be there, close and certain.
