ASSISTANT MANAGER - IT INFRASTRUCTURE - SYSTEMS - KARACHI

GENERAL PURPOSE:

To support and develop the organizations IT Infrastructure. Primarily performing Infrastructure devices monitoring and checks, Data center devices monitoring and checks, backup and resolving level 2 support. Assist Manager to plan, manage and implement infrastructure projects and upgrades. Administration of All centralize and individual UPS, Internet connectivity distribution in all BU in SIEHS and Connectivity between remote locations and DR site.

Responsibilities include; keeping work efforts on track as per the project plan, applying quality controls to IT deliverables, getting issues resolved, communicating with all parties engaged in a system integration environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES:

• Manage existing infrastructure (networks, Computer hardware and UPS system), perform preventative maintenance work, backup and perform other regular support activities to ensure smooth IT operations
• Manages and administer the network Infrastructure systems, i.e., Core and distribution network switch / Wired and Wireless network / gateway devices for internet / Network Security and routers
• Manage the telephony and streaming services, i.e., IP based PABX system / Telephony Gateway / Tele-presence / Video conferencing system etc. 
• Monitor and administer gateway devices to prevent external security threats, gateway level antivirus, VPN connectivity, Internet distribution, internet traffic controlling by Application, web and content filtering.
• Manage IT equipment inventory, Warranty claims, maintenance, Purchase requisition for IT equipment. 
• Assist Helpdesk team for effectiveness and efficiency
• Monitor Call Center IT operations under supervision of line manager

COMPETENCY MATRIX:

Technical Skills

• Certification in Data Center management is an advantage
• Certification in IP Telephony
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office)

Qualification:  Graduation / Master in relevant field

Training/Courses: CCNA, CCNP, Data Center Certification, Microsoft Certification preferable

Experience:  3-8 years of experience in digital marketing
