ASSISTANT MANAGER – FACILITY & PROJECTS (KARACHI, SUKKUR, BHAMBORE)

The purpose this position is responsible for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) of all vicinities of SIEHS, from estimates, to budget approval, to project commencement, to routine maintenance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES:

Services: (40% Civil/Leasehold & 40% Electrical/Utilities and 20%Mechanical)

  • Prepares and determine specifications for buildout projects; estimates costs of equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Supervise site and oversee the projects work as per schedule performed by contractors.
  • Evaluate vendor quotations and technically evaluate the bids and specifications.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance schedule, ensure periodical site visits and carry out required work with the help of technicians.
  • Identify risk factors and develop suitable strategies for risk mitigation.
  • Proactively manage and determine day-to-day power maintenance and facility needs i.e. Generator / AC’s and all Office equipment (Refrigerator, Microwave, Fans).
  • Prepare and advise specifications for the electrical system and design electrical layout, electric load management and earth pit.
  • Maintain liaison with other companies/departments for smooth 24 x 7 uninterrupted operations.
  • Suggests proposals in preparation of budgets, replacement of old obsolete equipment, cost saving initiatives, changes in maintenance programs and material handling
  • Submitting the utilities bills on time for timely submission of payment.
  • Able to understand in designing and evaluation of building layouts.

  • Ability to manage the Technician / Outsource team, as well as an analytical mindset with great problem-solving skills.

  • Good working knowledge of administrative procedures.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to effectively mobilize resources.
  • Ability to interact across multiple functions within the organization.

Key Attributes

  • Well versed with M/s. Excel (collection of data and analysis).
  • Maintain working relationship with all cross functional departments.

Qualification:  B.E/B.Tech along with these technical skills; Electrical Circuit Designing and Building Layout Designing.

Training/Courses (preferred):  MS Office. Health and Safety

Experience:  3-5 Years in Public / Private Sector Building Facility Management.
