Senior Manager – Commercial (Procurement & Supply Chain) - Karachi

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Ensure that the company’s Procurement, Warehousing & Transportation, Inventory Management and planning processes are effective, aligned with laid policy and SOP’s and in compliance with applicable SPPRA rules while adhering to approved Supply Chain policies of SIEHS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assure best practices of governance based on requirements of SIEHS Policy and principles.
• Ensure effective stakeholder management for smooth and efficient operations as per company SOPs and Policy.
• Deliver cost efficiency and savings through effective negotiation of contracts management.
• Establish key supplier alliances and network, develop a supplier management process and manage total cost of ownership.
• Manage inventory and utilize data to track orders and shipments, sales trends and address weaknesses and inefficiencies in the system by instituting proper check and balance mechanism.
• Establish and monitor controls to manage distribution and logistics and streamline the order to payment process by introducing online system for transparency.
• Establish a strategic sourcing strategy with prime focus on performance and compliance with standards and led through Procurement policy. 
• Recruit and develop supply chain professionals for the company, when required

Key Skills and Knowledge:

• Knowledge of government procurement processes, specifically SPPRA.
• Tangible experience of delivering value for money
• Business acumen; attention to detail to understand the business and the environment in which it operates
• Efficient at use of technology — ERP, analytics software and applications for optimal performance
• Strong analytical and statistical capabilities applied to supply and demand issues of public health sector
• Having experience of driving performance based culture through strong control on key KPI’s and its review process.
• Having experience of leading procurement, logistics in reputable organization.
• Having more than 15 years’ experience on driving Supply Chain in a reputable firm.
• Having strong understanding as well as able to apply soft skills like, strategic thinking, and strong accountability, negotiation skills, to build relationships with suppliers, customers and team members.

Experience:  10+ years in procurement, including 5+ years in warehouse management in the health sector. Expertise in tendering, bidding, and compliance with supply chain regulations.

Qualification: Master’s degree (18 years) with Major in Supply Chain or Applied Sciences.

Training/Courses: (preferable): Certification in Supply Chain and SPPRA rules are a plus.
