Female Medical Officer – Sindh (TDP)


Female Medical Officer is responsible for providing medical care, health education, and promoting preventive healthcare initiatives primarily targeting women and children in various communities & a commitment to improving healthcare access for underserved populations.


 Coordinate and participate in mobile healthcare clinic operations, ensuring the efficient delivery of medical services to target communities.

  • Travel to designated locations to conduct medical consultations, screenings, and health assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient encounters, medical histories, and treatment plans using electronic health records systems.
  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of common illnesses and chronic conditions.
  • Perform routine medical procedures such as vaccinations, wound care, and basic laboratory tests as required.
  • Offer reproductive health services, family planning counseling, and prenatal care to female patients.
  • Conduct health education sessions and workshops focusing on women’s health issues, hygiene practices, nutrition, and disease prevention.
  • Empower patients with information on self-care, healthy lifestyle choices, and the importance of regular screenings and immunizations.
  • Build rapport and trust within target communities by actively engaging with community leaders, local organizations, and residents.
  • Collaborate with community health workers and volunteers to identify healthcare needs and implement tailored interventions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, midwives, and specialists, to ensure coordinated care for patients requiring additional services.
  • Facilitate referrals to appropriate healthcare facilities for advanced diagnostics, specialty consultations, or hospitalization when necessary.
  • Adhere to medical protocols, clinical guidelines, and best practices in healthcare delivery.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer reviews, and clinical audits to enhance the effectiveness and safety of mobile healthcare services.
  • Any other task assign by the Line Manager.


 Technical Skills

  • Sound knowledge about the methods related to family planning and their common side effects
  • Knowledge about reproductive sexual health and rights
  • Familiarity with the tools, concepts and methodologies of training
  • Must be computer literate with familiarity of MS office and Internet
  • Sound knowledge about the common medical terminology and facts
  • Knowledge and skills about managing the emergencies cases
  • Knowledge about the latest trends in the medical sciences
  • Awareness on the national and local health policies

 Management Skills

  • Leadership Skills – Should be able to manage the stressful situations in an emergency and uncertain situation.
  • Good counseling and communication Skills particularly in listening, accent and tone

Key Attributes

  • Good command in written and spoken Urdu and English with fluency in any other local language
  • Patient – focused approach in providing care and services.
  • Pleasant personality with flexibility to work in rotations (Day or Night Shifts)

Qualification:  MBBS with valid license by PMC / PMDC

Experience:  Minimum 03 Years’ experience in  related field

Age: Max Age  : 50 years
